What kind of bird is this?

Okay, so I had these bird along time ago when I was in Brazil. I got them as a present, so I never really knew the name.

here’s a picture:

These don’t really look like the Parakeets you find in stores or look up on google. If I wanted to get the same excact ones again, what would I call them?

Those look like canary-winged brotogeris — sometimes called beebee parrots.

They are NOT parrotlets. They are NOT lovebirds. They are NOT conures.

You probably will not find them in your average pet store. Private breeders are the way to go.

I really recommend Shady Pines. I got one of my caiques from her and from day one, she was and still is an amazingly well adjusted bird.
